ADVANCED GIFTS DINNER - September 16, 2018
August 13, 2018
Dear Community Member,
On behalf of Zsuzsa Fritz, I want to say, “Köszönöm!” That’s Hungarian for “Thank you!” Thanks to your support, Zsuzsa, has resources to seek out those Hungarian Jews who hide, or don’t know their heritage – our heritage – and help them reconnect.
People say, “Thank you” in different languages, but the sentiment is always as sincere as our innately Jewish desire to make the world a better place. And you continue to make the world a better place.
We hope that you will join us for a fascinating conversation at our Annual Advanced Gifts dinner on Sunday, September 16 at Berry Hills Country Club. The evening will begin with minyan at 5:45 PM, followed by cocktails, dinner and program. The minimum contribution to attend is $750 per person or $1000 per couple. First timers are invited to join at a reduced rate of $150 per person.
Our guest speaker Nir Buchler, Vice President for the Jewish Agency for Israel, will be discussing “Opportunities and Challenges Facing the Jewish World: How the Jewish Agency is Impacting the Future of the Jewish People.” Nir Buchler was born and raised in Paris, France. With growing antisemitism in France, Nir’s perception of Judaism changed and his family looked for a better future. At the age of 19, Nir and his family immigrated to the United States.
Please join us for this stimulating evening and give what you can today to the Federated Jewish Charities of Charleston. We hope you’ll consider increasing your gift this year to support tens of thousands of Holocaust survivors, and provide them with another year of food, shelter and medicine.
And wherever there’s crisis, be it from the collapsing economy in Venezuela or terrorism in Israel, your gift will be there with comfort, support and much-needed supplies. So, on their behalf, we wish you, “Gracias y feliz año nuevo”.
Please complete the contact form below, to join us for this great event.
Thank you again for your past support, and today’s gift.
